Dean brings extensive experience and a multifaceted skill set to Lakey Legal, making him an invaluable asset to clients. As the Principal Solicitor, Dean combines his extensive background in various industries to provide top-notch legal services and strategic counsel.

Before becoming a lawyer, Dean honed his skills in the automotive financial services sector and gained international experience in the import/export industry. These roles helped him develop strong business skills and a deep understanding of global commerce. His transition into law was driven by a desire to help clients navigate legal challenges effectively and efficiently.

Dean specialises in property, corporate and commercial law, with a strong track record in business transactions, sales, and retail leases. He also has experience in family law and criminal law, showcasing his versatility and ability to handle diverse legal issues.

John Fuller

Consultant

John is an experienced legal practitioner with an immense understanding of criminal legal procedure and practice. As a former Victoria Police prosecutor, detective, and member of the Australian Federal Police, John brings a wealth of experience and insight to our firm, ensuring clients receive knowledgeable and effective representation. He is a dedicated professional with over 28 years experience in policing, criminal justice and the law.

John's areas of expertise include criminal law, family law, child protection, and succession law. Known for his availability and commitment, John ensures that clients feel well-informed throughout their legal journey.

Alicia McGlashan

Family Lawyer

Alicia specialises in assisting clients to navigate difficult circumstances that can surround a family breakdown and provide clients with compassionate and practical advice and representation, with an aim to avoid litigation.

Alicia has extensive experience in assisting separating parties to reach realistic and equitable property settlements, often involving complex property matters.

Alicia also represent client's in relation to children's matters, with a focus on achieving a result by consent with the other parent where possible. When matters involve complexities such as family violence, relocation disputes and child support negotiations, Alicia will provide guidance to client's to achieve an outcome which is in the best interests of the children.

Alicia is an experienced litigator who regularly appears for client's at Mediation, Conciliation Conferences, Court Hearings in the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court of Australia and in the Magistrates Court of Victoria.

Isaac McLean

Wills & Estates Lawyer

Isaac is a dedicated Wills and estates lawyer, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to Lakey Legal. With a double degree in Law and International Studies from Deakin University, Isaac has honed his skills in navigating the complexities of the legal world. Admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia, Isaac's legal journey began with a passion for justice and a commitment to serving his clients.

Isaac has a proven track record of success in handling a variety of Wills and Estates matters. He has experience working on Part IV applications, where he successfully challenged the provisions of a Will to ensure fair distribution for clients who were initially left out.

When working with clients, Isaac takes a thorough approach, meticulously exploring every scenario to ensure their Will and estate planning meet their needs. He understands the sensitive nature of this work and emphasises the importance of proper estate planning. Inadequate Wills can lead to significant costs after death, diverting funds from beneficiaries. Isaac strives to get it right the first time, avoiding costly litigation.

Isaac has handled complex probate applications, including cases where the validity of the Will was contested. He stays updated on changes in the law through conferences, monthly legal journals, and ongoing professional development.
